 2020 3rd Drone Vision Contest of the Both Sides Across Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong & Macao is Officially Inaugurated

The Third Drone Vision Contest of the Both Sides Across Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong & Macao with the theme of “Home” has been officially inaugurated in August, the award ceremony will be held in Shenzhen in late September, 2020.

   

After twice times of successful practice, the Third Drone Vision Contest of the Both Sides Across Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong & Macao with the theme of “Home” has been officially inaugurated in August, the award ceremony will be held in Shenzhen in late September, 2020.

Organized together by China Television Artists Association, Chinese Culture Promotion Society and China Association of Remote Sensing Application, the contest aims to build a new platform for cultural exchange of both sides across Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao through drone aerial photography, a novel and stylish method.

The contest is divided into two phase. Processes including work collection, online voting and judge review will be completed in the preliminary round; and in the final phase, after the 72-hour creation period for contestants, there will be judge review, awarding, award ceremony and other processes.

The contest has set up 9 awards, 5 team awards covering Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award. Internet Popularity Award, the Media Focus Award, as well as 4 individual awards including the Best Screenwriter Award, the Best Pilot Award, the Best Editing Award, and the Best UAV Platform Operator Award. Top professionals from film and television art field and UAV aerial photography application field from both sides of Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong & Macao will be invited as the judges.

A feature of the contest this year is that the “cloud” concept of Internet will be utilized in the contest for the whole process due to the requirements of regular epidemic prevention and control. Through online inauguration, voting, review, release, final contest and award ceremony, the contest will be presented online in a brand new form.

Meanwhile, unlike the previous two contests with the scenery as the main theme, the contest this year, with the theme of “Home”, encourages the participating teams to explore more topics related to home from different perspectives including humanities, scenery, history, etc., inject more personal ideas and storytelling, and touch and warm the viewer’s minds through the aerial footage.
