The Team has Gathered, the “Limited Time Creation in Dapeng”has Started. What’s the Theme? Come and see~

The 5th Cross-Strait and Hong Kong-Macao Drone Aerial Photography Creation Competition since its inception in 2017, has won strong support from Shenzhen Dapeng New District. Limited Time Creation in Dapeng is an independent competition unit added to the competition in 2021. Meanwhile, a Dapeng New District special award was set up— "Roc Award".

In total 10 teams participated in this time-limited creation competition of Dapeng. Each team must conduct a limited-time creation focusing on the selected theme. The deadline for submission of works is September 30.

This year's limited time creation competition in Dapeng has designated the three creative themes: "Quiet Dapeng", "Haiyun Dapeng" and "Jincu Dapeng".  Each participating team has completed the drawing of creative themes, and the result is as follows:

Theme of Creation - Tranquil Roc

    Dapeng New District represents a precious place in Shenzhen that brings of traditional culture and red cultural resources together. There are 139 historical relics at all levels and 2 national key cultural relics protection units. Among them, the Dapeng City with a history of more than 600 years is reputed as the "The root of Pengcheng”, and it’s the origin of Shenzhen’s abbreviation “Pengcheng”. Pengcheng Village (now Pengcheng Community) is the only national historical and cultural village in Shenzhen. The New Year's customs of the Dan people (grass dragon dance), the wedding customs of Nan'ao fishermen, the customs of Dapeng commemorating heroes and martyrs, and the folk songs of Dapeng are included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of Guangdong Province.

    The teams that has drawn "Quiet Dapeng" as the creative theme must create based on the traditional villages and historical treasures within the Dapeng New District, telling us the story of Dapeng settling under the tranquility.

Creation theme - Haiyun Dapeng

    Dapeng New District stands as a national ecological civilization construction demonstration area, a national ecological civilization pioneer demonstration area, a national marine ecological civilization construction demonstration area and a national marine ranch demonstration area. It has a forest coverage rate of 77.49%, the wild plant species occupy 64.1% of Shenzhen City, 25.3% of Guangdong Province, and the coral community coverage reaches 50%. 48 of the 50 natural beaches in Shenzhen are in Dapeng New District, and Xichong Beach on Dapeng Peninsula is rated as one of the "Eight Most Beautiful Coasts in China".

    The teams that have drawn "Haiyun Dapeng" as the creative theme must create based on the marine scenery and marine industry of Dapeng New District, portraying a picture of sea full of vigor for us.

    There are 53 parks in the Dapeng New District, with flowers and wetlands scattered like pearls, decorating the Dapeng Peninsula, such as Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula National Geological Park, Hetangyuese Park, Baguang Yinyeshu Wetland Park, Baisha Bay Park, Baguangshui Ecological Park, and more than 40 community parks.

    The participating teams that has drawn the theme of "Jincu Dapeng" must create based on the parks within the Dapeng New Area, tell us the stories behind them, and explain "Dapeng in the Parks".
