Summary of the Preliminary Round

2020 The Fifth Drone Vision Contest of the Both Sides Across Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong & Macao, from May 20 to July 10, has received diverse works from nearly 200 teams from both sides across the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao, among which the campus teams accounted for 15%, and all teams covered almost 50% of the provinces and cities across across the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao.

Reviewed and Remarked by Professionals, the Contest Declared the Finalist

“Characteristic in the creativity, smooth and dazzling in using aerial photography skills, and strong in visual appeal”; “In addition to height, the aerial photography should also pay attention to the angles that needs to be changed frequently for new creativity”; “Through the works, we can see the youthfulness and momentum of the campus teams, and sophistication and maturity of the social teams”.

The works of this years, both in quantity and quality, have seen a great improvement compared with previous years, impressing the expert and judges greatly. 

After carefully grading by the judges, the top 35 finalists for the final battle have been officially announced.

To all finalist teams, please notice that the final creation period will start from tomorrow to August 31. Meanwhile, during July 24 to 28, the organizing committee of the contest will also invite experts from various fields to the Training Camp for Contestants, to offer their guidance on the work creation for the final battle. To ensure the fairness and authority of the final, the organizing committee has invited nearly 40 top professionals from both sides across Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao to compose the contest jury, including Hu Zhanfan, the Vice Chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chairman of China TV Artists Association; Liu Tiemin, the former Director of CCTV Spring Festival Gala; Li Gang, the senior film and television direction from Taiwan; Li Lichi, a renowned director from Hong Kong; Cai Xiaozhen, the Vice President of Macao Film Association, etc.

The judges, from various dimensions, including content creativity, visual effect, difficulty of aerial photography, will examine the real strength of each participating teams. We believe the works from finalists will bring you a totally different kind of excitement!
